Managing a course

When you enter a course, the left menu becomes a submenu for everything related to that course. From there you can reach course basics, assignments and exams, enrolled students, and teachers.

Course details page

The Details tab summarizes the course: enrolled student count, assignment/exam count, and whether the course is active. Assigned teachers appear under a separate heading in the left menu.

  • The Active badge at the top means the course is live; when it is turned off, students cannot see new assignments or exams.
  • The Enrolled Students and Assignments/Exams counters summarize the current state. Clicking a counter opens the matching tab.
  • The left menu has four main tabs: Details, Assignments/Exams, Enrolled Students, Teachers. It stays with you throughout this page.
  • The Settings link at the bottom left covers changing the course name or description, or deleting the course.

Assignments/exams list

The Assignments/Exams tab lists every assignment and exam in the course, with a search box and pagination. Use the Create button in the top right to add a new assignment or exam.

  • The search box filters existing assignments and exams by title.
  • If you have not created any yet, the list shows *"No assignment/exam."*
  • To create a new assignment or exam, continue toCreating an assignment or exam.

Enrolled students and teachers

The Enrolled Students tab shows the table of students in the course; the Teachers tab shows assigned teachers. In both tables:

  • Use the + Add button in the top right to add a new user.
  • To remove someone from the course, open the menu on the right of the row and choose *Remove from course*; this does not delete the user from the institution, it only unlinks them from this course.
  • To add several users at once, you can use the CSV import flow — the same logic as in the course creation wizard.

When a new student is added

When a new student is enrolled, existing assignments and exams in the course are automatically assigned to them as well. If "Assign to all enrolled students" is on when you create an assignment or exam, students added later also see it.

Settings

Course settings open from the Settings link at the bottom left. From there you can update the course name, description, and visibility, or delete the course entirely.

Deletion cannot be undone

When you delete a course, all related assignments and exams, student enrollments, and grading data are permanently removed. Export your data before you delete.
