Getting started
Notla is an education platform that brings the full workflow into one place — from managing courses and users, to creating assignments and exams, to AI-assisted grading of student papers. This page introduces the screens you see after you first sign in.
What is Notla?
Notla is a platform where institution coordinators create courses and users and grant teachers access, and teachers prepare assignments or exams and automatically grade student papers. A typical user journey has three main parts:
- Setup. The coordinator adds users, creates courses, and assigns teachers and students.
- Preparation. The teacher creates an assignment or exam in a course, uploads a template, and defines questions and grading criteria.
- Grading. Student papers are uploaded, automatic grading is run, and results are published.
Signing in
You can reach Notla via your institution's link (for example app.notla.net) and sign in with your username and password. If you have access to more than one institution, you can switch the active institution from the user menu in the top right after you sign in.

After you sign in, you land on the Courses screen. The left menu stays with you on every page; the main area lists courses in the institution and a card for adding a new course.

- The left menu appears on every page and takes you to
CoursesandUsers. TheHelplink in the bottom-right corner opens this guide. - The welcome message confirms which user you signed in as and which institution you are working in.
- Course cards show existing courses; the dashed card on the far left starts the

Roles and views
Notla has two primary roles: coordinator and teacher. The menus you see and the actions you can take depend on your role, but the core workflow stays the same.

- A coordinator sees both
CoursesandUsersin the left menu. Adding users, creating courses, and assigning teachers and students are coordinator-only actions. - A teacher only sees courses assigned to them and can go straight to creating an assignment or exam.
- The interface language can be switched between Turkish and English in your account settings; the content stays the same, only the labels are translated.
