Who is this guide for?

It is written for coordinators and teachers who are new to Notla. You can follow a single path from the first day of a real course through to publishing student grades.

A typical flow

Taking a new course from scratch to published grades usually looks like this:

  1. Prepare users. Add teachers and students one by one or in bulk via CSV.
  2. Create a course. Use the 3-step wizard to enter course details, assign teachers, and enroll students.
  3. Create an assignment or exam. Open a new assignment or exam from the course page and assign it to every enrolled student.
  4. Add a template and questions. Upload a PDF or image template; let AI analyze the questions, then adjust points and criteria if needed.
  5. Mark page regions. On each page, mark which areas are identity, question, and answer regions.
  6. Upload student papers. Import scanned papers from the web as PDFs or with the Notla Scanner mobile app.
  7. Run automatic grading. Review AI settings, select questions, and start grading.
  8. Review and publish. Manually review low-confidence submissions, then publish grades.
  9. Share results. Use statistics, per-question averages, and exports.
